Edouard Ferlet is a fantastic jazz pianist. His career has covered many styles of music, from gospel to cabaret and many points in between. And he clearly has a love for classical music. In yesterday’s post, I talked about creating or re-creating music so we can make it our own. And I think that’s what Mr. Ferlet has done. His new album, Think Bach, takes some of the most straightforward and beloved music in the idiom and makes it new. Here is a video of Ferlet performing his rendition of Bach’s Prelude in D Major from The Well-Tempered Clavier.
